Blog

do you remember?

Do you remember why you came to this place?

What exactly brought you here?

Did you forget in all the haste?

This is what I remember,

September is a month to overcome.

Being bullied on the playground back in the day- taught you many things.

Hard to forget being called four eyes, when you identified with glasses at such a young age,

and you had no time to adjust to your change of perception.

When you grew up with a bit of instability and wasn't aware of why that was no fault of your own- you take it to heart, but do you remember?

You determine your own self worth.

The month of September can be tough.

There are national events that will remind us of such.

9/11, hurricanes, wild fires, suicide prevention and more,

but do you remember- you are loved

Never forget who the true hero will be, the one soft spoken and often seen- as the underdog.

Never give up. Never recede. With that attitude you will have all that you need.

Eventually, all that can happen to you, is you become stronger.

For years I'd wear contacts out of insecurity, but

I find I'm most comfortable with glasses as I grow older,

and sometimes I have to remember to ask, why?

Machines of the Day (Grey)

Insomnia of my generation when can we sleep,

the earth hurts enough but what is one more,

Feelings numb in our bones, blood running cold,

are we left here to die all alone?

Tired from countless rhetoric of jaded thoughts,

Dogmatic ramblings of experiences unknown,

Our mothers and fathers saying that they have been shown,

To listen, to trust, but how do I believe-

When they themselves fail to see.

For once not long ago they wept on their knees,

Confused as to the path to follow, leaving us to wonder

To a time when robots build our graves,

When they take us away the machines of the day.

Traveling (Lyrics)

We sailed to the Americas in pirate ships,

The British called it the Navy,

Spain the crusade,

The Africans call it enslavement to this day,

Neither ship I rode so I think of history differently

Traveling to the future,

to a younger generation,

traveling,

traveling

Where destiny is in our control,

and president's promise change,

War in Libya, Afghanistan, oil in Saudi Arabia; with nukes in Iran,

Digging our brothers graves and killing our souls,

Leaving us only one way to live, to travel

Traveling to the future,

to a younger generation,

traveling,

traveling

Green

(Psyche Music)

(Get it while it’s fresh, it’s fresh)

Ya let her take your pain,

Let her put your mind at ease ya…

(everything that she takes, she gives ten fold back to me, and everything that I see, need, breath is green)

I promise that she aim to please you ya

(send my blessings up to Mary, may she send love back down on me)

Better tell her thanks,

She knows you need her ya...

If not she will come down on you,

Anahata is the one that heals

I’m trying to tell you what exactly green is...

I’m trying to tell you what exactly green is...

I’m trying to tell you exactly what green is…

She keeps calling back to me,

She is the siren of my dreams,

Planting seeds of ingenious creativity,

Splittin shells like split personalities

Like how some of you just hear a tale

And others read the message in between

Like how some of you are power hungry

And greedy for the money green

When instead you are truly sitting back puffing on your schemes

Living a fairy tale reality

I’m trying to tell you what exactly green is...

While you sit in envy

I’m trying to tell you what exactly green is...

I’m trying to tell you what exactly green is...

I’m trying to tell you exactly what green is…

All in the Mind

All in the mind, in the mind, in the mind,
and it's all in my mind.

Take two hits and feel the good vibes,
everything is dancing, kaleidoscope eyes.

Wake up at a quarter to three,
ask myself if this is truly me,
look in the mirror and what do I see?
-A different side of me.

Driving in this city of mine,
this reality is hard to define,
keep looking deep down inside,
question everything I find,
and if I have to decide.

I'd rather give it one good try,
get ready for the ride, do or die.

All in the mind, in the mind, in the mind, and it's all in my mind.
It's all in my mind.
All in the mind, in the mind, in the mind, and it's all in my mind.
It's all in your mind.

He has the shawty and the hawty,
when he's rolling down the street,
with his nine and his knife,
always attached to see.

You betta watch out when you drive into the east,
place of no rest or peace,
unless you wish to be,
planted six feet in the ground,
and you can't hear a sound,
with no sight or way to be found,
here you are bound,
left with your empty screams,
with no way to get free,
other than to rot with the roots of the tree,
but remember now, that this reality
is all a mirage or just a dream.

All in the mind, in the mind, in the mind, and it's all in my mind.
It's all in my mind.
All in the mind, in the mind, in the mind, and it's all in my mind.
It's all in your mind.
